On April 15th, 2018 I took part in a competition held in Jerusalem . The goal of the competition was to innovatively plan one of the city’s Kindergarten yards. Participants were required to come up with a concept meeting the demands of the Kindergarten’s teacher, the City Council’s vision, and answering the needs of children in the 21st century.
My design was done in collaboration with Tal Lerner and it views the Kindergarten’s yard as a wondrous space that reflects themes from the interior design of the Kindergarten, as well as offering activities and experiences that can only be held outdoors.
The different areas in the yard encourage children to move, build, play and imagine. Natural materials are combined in the yard with both fixed and mobile accessories.
